GOLDENMOON AND KATHY
This has got to be the wackiest foot shoot I've ever done. Goldenmoon (identified as GM from now on) and Kathy really let themselves go and have a lot of silly fun, doing and saying a lot of funny things as they show off their feet. Kathy is especially goofy here, her antics making it impossible for GM not to play along. This make the shoot one of the most enjoyable I've done so far. 

GM rests Kathy's leg on her lap and reveals her wiggling toes by removing her strappy shoe. Kathy does the same with GM's blue sparkly shoe. The last two shoes soon follow. The silliness begins as a violent foot fight erupts. Things calm down with all four feet mixed in a pile. The girls press their soles together, giving us an idea of the size difference (which isn't that big, really). They attempt a clumsy foot version of paddy cake. They wedge their Achilles between two toes, first forming two columns of two feet, then they put them together to make a 4-feet-high pillar. They combine them to form various creative shapes. They form a kind of arch (very appropriate, the construction material being feet), and Kathy pretends there's a poor little man who gets crushed when the arch collapses on top of him. Later, I hand them a cute plush rat (an old gift from my sister) so that they can play with it with their toes. They pretend their feet are fighter planes in the middle of a dogfight before turning them into birds, and Kathy pretends that two big toes are kissing each other. As you can see, there's a lot of crazy stuff going on, here. 

Eventually the girls calm down a little, and while they by no means stop goofing off creatively, they do enter a phase where they concentrate a bit more on posing their feet. They manage to keep all four feet side by side for a few moments, allowing me to get some close-up shots of their soles and wiggling toes. They imitate one of those gadgets with swinging metal balls that you often see on office desks. Their toes do the wave. They rub their feet together, producing that familiar sound. While they do their show they discuss various things, and at one point Kathy has an idea for sushi prepared with the feet, assuring me that they would sell well when I suggest that it might be a bit gross. Getting even sillier, she has Goldenmoon join her in a scenario where their feet are a customer and a waiter talking in a restaurant (it's weird, I know). This is accomplished with their feet kept horizontally, each girl's toes pointing towards the other's. Even Goldenmoon points out that Kathy may have a bit too much imagination. Then again, she's the one who initiates a routine where their feet cooperate to tell a silly joke. Later, their feet become flowers growing out of the ground (represented by the coffee table in front of them). They also practice their toe spreading skills, which are fairly impressive. 
The teamed-up portion of the shoots being over, each girl offers her own solo foot show, starting with Goldenmoon. She pulls off her red and black socks and lifts one foot to her face. She nibbles on her toes, but very gently and briefly. To tell the truth, she's not a big fan of it. She actually finds it uncomfortable, even though she's in control of the pressure. Still, she does it a few more times during her scene, plus a few toe kisses. She slips a ring off her finger and tries it on her second toe, observing that it's slightly too big. She presses her toes against her face and scratches her head. She holds up her feet in front of her face, ankles crossed. After a while she uncrosses them but keeps them in the air to show off her soles some more, wiggling her toes a bit. She also plays for her toes, trying to cross them one over the other, with little success. Finally, she rests on her side with her feet placed horizontally, one on top of the other, before waving goodbye and blowing a kiss at the camcorder. 
It's now Kathy's time to show off her feet. She acts particularly goofy and hyperactive in this scene, going a bit overboard just for the fun of it. She plays with her toes like she's just discovered them, her eyes wide with faked amazement. She grabs the end of her second sock and has to use all her strength to pull it off. She brings one foot close to her face, wiggles her big toe and acts like it's talking to her (GM and I can be heard giggling at her silly antics). She tries licking her foot a bit, but she has trouble reaching  it comfortably. Still, she does manage to gives her toes and the ball of her foot a few quick kisses and licks, and even goes as far as kissing her heel during the fraction of a second she's capable of reaching it. She touches her head with her foot and rests her chin on her toes. Anyway, to make things short, her feet move and pose in a variety of different, sometimes odd ways. Near the end of the scene she rests on her back, swings her legs over her head and hold her feet in position by grabbing her big toes. Finally, she kneels on the couch with her back to the camcorder, toes down, wiggling her feet around.

KATHLEEN 
Before describing this shoot, I'd like to mention that I ran into a minor technical problem with sound. It was the first time I used my current mike, and back them I didn't know that by using an extension cord I risked getting some interference. It did happen that day, in the form of a light buzzing or hissing sound. However, it doesn't happen all the time, and I lowered the volume of most of the footage enough that it's not that big a deal. Since Kathleen remains silent throughout, I don't think the low audio matters much. 

So anyway, this shoot takes place in a motel room. Kathleen sits on the bed, clicks on the TV. She removes her shoes and socks. She sits or lies down in a variety of positions, still watching TV, giving me plenty of opportunities to film her feet, including some nice close-ups. After about five minutes of this, the TV is turned off. There's a mirror on the ceiling, directly over the bed, and I use it to film Kathleen as if I were above her. Again, she changes her position a few times to show off her soles. The scene ends as I leave the mirror to go back to direct filming, Kathleen lying on her stomach facing away from me, her legs and feet in the air. 

Kathleen has put her shoes back on. When she pulls them off again we discover that the socks she's wearing have been cut. On the left side, her toes stick out of five individual holes, and her heel is also exposed. On the left side, the toes are more or less covered, but a large piece of the sock is missing, revealing her sole. The socks are cheap and not especially attractive, but it would have been a shame to destroy a pair of good-quality socks, and we chose black to maximize the contrast with the skin. She shows off her half-covered feet for a few minutes. The right sock tends to fall off the toes, so she eventually doesn't bother with it anymore, baring the whole foot while still wearing the sock over her ankle. In the end she removes the ruined socks altogether so I can film her fully bare feet for a few moments. 
There's a bathtub in the main room, a few feet from the bed. We thought it would be neat for Kathleen to wash her feet on camera (not that they really needed washing, mind you). She turns the faucet on and simply keeps her feet in the running water, letting them get thoroughly wet. In this case I didn't lower the sound, as the scene would have seemed a bit weird, what with the water. Two or three minutes later she turns the water off and dries her feet with a towel. For the rest of the scene she lies down in the bathtub. We didn't think of bringing a bathing suit, so here's no water in the tub, and Kathleen is fully clothed. While she gently rubs her soles together at one point, she mostly shows off her feet, very relaxed, again in a few different positions.
